Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or say they: a poet for whom we wait some adverse turn of fortune! 30 say [to them], "Wait then: I too am waiting along with you!" -- 31 Is it that their faculties of understanding urge them to this, or are they but a people transgressing beyond bounds? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Were they created out of nothing, or are they their own creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief. 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or, do they have a ladder on which they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or askest thou (Muhammad) a fee from them so that they are plunged in debt? 40 Or have they the unseen so that they write (it) down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Have they, then, any deity other than God? Utterly remote is God, in His limitless glory, from anything to which men may ascribe a share in His divinity! 43 And if they should see a fragment of the heaven falling down, they would say: it is only clouds piled up. 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),- 45 Their deception will not avail them in the least on that day, nor will they be helped. 46 The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
