Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Have you received the news of the Enveloper? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 They will be given drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food other than bitter and thorny fruit 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Other) faces that Day will be joyful, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 In the high empyrean, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Countless springs will flow therein, 12 and couches raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And cushions ranged! 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And at the Earth, how it is spread out? 20 Remind them; you are surely a reminder. 21 You do not have full control over them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will punish him with direst punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
