۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a hidden Book 78 which none can touch except the purified. 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Would you say that this statement is a lie? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul leaps up to the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Then why do you not, if you are exempt from the reckoning and recompense (punishment, etc.) 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 and if he be a Companion of the Right: 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he be of those who treat (Truth) as Falsehood, who go wrong, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
