Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 Nay! I swear by the self-accusing soul. 2 What, does man reckon We shall not gather his bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 In fact, people want to have eternal life in this world. 5 He asketh: when will the Day of Resurrection be? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are joined together, 9 on that Day the human will ask: 'To (which place) shall I flee' 10 No! There is no refuge! 11 Before thy Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of rest. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 When We recite it, follow its recitation. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting; 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
