Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Except what Allah, may will, He knows what is apparent and what is hidden. 7 And We shall create the means of ease for you. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
