When the messengers came to the family of Lot, 61 He said: verily ye are a people stranger. 62 They said: Nay, we have come to you with that about which they disputed. 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 so leave with your family some time in the latter part of the night, and walk behind them. Let none of you look back. Go where you are commanded." 65 And We made known this decree to him, that the root of those (sinners) was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 He said: "These are my guests, so do not disgrace me. 68 Have fear of Allah, and do not humiliate me." 69 They said; Have we not forbidden you from (entertaining) anyone? 70 He said, “These women of our tribe are my daughters, if you have to.” 71 By your life! they were blindly wandering on in their intoxication. 72 Therefore the scream overcame them at sunrise. 73 And We turned (the cities) upside down, and rained down on them brimstones hard as baked clay. 74 Surely in this are signs for those who examine. 75 And verily! They (the cities) were right on the highroad (from Makkah to Syria i.e. the place where the Dead Sea is now). 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
