Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, Nay! You shall come to know! 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 You will surely see the Hellfire. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
