T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But only as a reminder for those who fear [Allah] - 3 a revelation from Him who created the earth and the high heavens; 4 The ever-merciful, established on the throne (of authority). 5 Unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth, as well as all that is between them and all that is beneath the sod. 6 And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. 7 Allah! There is no Allah save Him. His are the most beautiful names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 9 Behold, he saw a fire: So he said to his family, "Tarry ye; I perceive a fire; perhaps I can bring you some burning brand therefrom, or find some guidance at the fire." 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 "Verily! I am your Lord! So take off your shoes, you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 I am God, and there is no god but I, so serve Me, and observe acts of prayer to remember Me. 14 “The Last Day will surely come – it was close that I hide it from all – in order that every soul may get the reward of its effort.” (He revealed it to His Prophets, so that people may fear and get ready. The exact time is not revealed to the people.) 15 Hence, let not anyone who does not believe in its coming and follows [but] his own desires divert thee from [belief in] it, lest thou perish! 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 He said, “Put it down, O Moosa! 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 (Allah) said, "Seize it, and fear not: We shall return it at once to its former condition".. 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 "That We may show you (some) of Our Greater Signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
