The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sun and its morning brightness, 1 and by the moon when she follows him, 2 By the day when it glorifieth it. 3 and by the night as it envelopes the sun; 4 By the heaven and That which built it 5 and by the earth and by Him Who stretched it out; 6 By the Soul, and the proportion and order given to it; 7 then inspired it to understand what was right and wrong for it. 8 Indeed successful is the one who made it pure. 9 And he fails that corrupts it! 10 The Thamud (people) rejected (their prophet) through their inordinate wrong-doing, 11 Behold, the most wicked man among them was deputed (for impiety). 12 Then Allah's Messenger warned them: “Hands off the she-camel and her drink!” 13 Then they belied him and they hamstrung her; wherefore their Lord overwhelmed them for their crime, and made it equal. 14 He did not fear the consequences. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
