The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determines and directs, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who shall enter the great fire; 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the Scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
