Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
