Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
