Al-Infitaar

Shattering (Al-Infitaar)

19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ When heaven is split open, 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 but you should know that there are angelic guards 10 noble scribes 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 which they shall enter on the Day of Judgement, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
