The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee wandering and direct (thee)? 7 And found thee in want, and given thee sufficiency? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
