The people of Lot rejected the Messengers, branding them liars. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 162 Therefore guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me: 163 I seek of you no reward. My reward is with none but the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you of your wives? Nay, you are a people exceeding limits. 166 They said: "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will be expelled (from the city)." 167 He said: "I am one of those who abhor your practice. 168 My Lord! deliver me and my followers from what they do. 169 So We delivered him and his household all. 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
