And a sign for them is the dead earth; We gave it life and We produced from it grain, so they eat from it. 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 So that they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 A sign for them is the night. From it We withdraw the day and they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs his course for a period determined for him: that is the decree of (Him), the Exalted in Might, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon, We have measured for it mansions (to traverse) till it returns like the old dried curved date stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 And We have created for them similar (vessels) on which they ride. 42 We could have drowned them if We pleased, and none would have answered their cry for help, nor would they have been saved, 43 except through Our Mercy and as enjoyment for awhile. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 and when they are told, "Give to others out of what God has provided for you," those who are bent on denying the truth say to the believers, "Why should we feed those whom God could feed if He wanted? You are clearly in error!" 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 They await just one scream, which will overcome them while they are involved in worldly disputes. 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
