۞ And when a description of the son of Marium is given, lo! your people raise a clamor thereat. 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He is purely a bondman (of Ours), whom We have favoured upon, and We made him an extraordinary example for the Descendants of Israel. 59 If We pleased We could have put angels in place of you as trustees on the earth. 60 And most surely it is a knowledge of the hour, therefore have no doubt about it and follow me: this is the right path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 And when (Prophet) Jesus came with clear signs, he said: 'I have come to you with wisdom and to clarify to you some of the matters about which you differ. Fear Allah and obey me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day. 65 Are they waiting except for the Hour to come upon them suddenly while they perceive not? 66 On that Day close friends shall become enemies of each other, except those who fear (Allah). 67
