T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ O MAN! 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah - there is no god but He. His are the most excellent names. 8 And has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 9 When he saw a fire, he said to his family: 'Stay here, for I can see a fire. Perhaps I can bring you a lighted torch or find at the fire guidance' 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in the right hand, O Moses?" 17 He said: "This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and thereupon it turned into a sliding serpent. 20 Said He, 'Take it, and fear not; We will restore it to its first state. 21 And place your hand in your armpit, it will come forth shining white, without blemish. This is another Sign of Allah, 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 Go to Pharaoh, he has become insolent' 24
