We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 But We saved him and the companions of the ship, and We made it a sign for the worlds. 15 And (remember) Ibrahim – when he said to his people, “Worship Allah and fear Him; that is better for you, if you knew!” 16 Those that you worship instead of Allah are merely idols, and you are simply inventing lies (about them). Indeed those whom you worship beside Allah have no power to provide you with any sustenance. So seek your sustenance from Allah and serve only Him and give thanks to Him alone. It is to Him that you will be sent back. 17 "And if you give [me] the lie - well, [other] communities have given the lie [to God's prophets] before your time: but no more is an apostle bound to do than clearly deliver the message [entrusted to him]." 18 Have they not seen how Allah initiates the creation, then will create it again? Indeed that is easy for Allah. 19 Say: "Travel on the earth and see how He originated creation. Then (you will know) how God will raise the last raising (of the dead). Surely God has power over everything, 20 He causes to suffer whomever He wills, and bestows His mercy on whomever He wills; and unto Him you shall be made to return: 21 And you shall not escape in the earth nor in the heaven, and you have neither a protector nor a helper besides Allah. 22
