The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then made it a blackening wrack. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world; 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This, indeed, was in the ancient Scrolls, 18 the revelations of Abraham and Moses. 19
