Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 when the seas overflow; 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who created thee and shaped thee and wrought thee in symmetry 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know all that you do: 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And thence they shall not be allowed to be absent. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
