And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. 69 when he asked his father and his people: "What do you worship?" 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? 73 They answered: "No; but we found our forefathers doing so." 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 Ye and your fathers of old? 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 who created me, and Himself guides me, 78 "Who gives me food and drink, 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me, 80 who makes me to die and then revives me, 81 And Who, I ardently hope, will forgive me my sin on the Day of Judgment. 82 O Lord, give me wisdom and admit me among the righteous, 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. 86 And disgrace me not on the Day when (all the creatures) will be resurrected; 87 “The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons.” 88 Save him who bringeth unto Allah a whole heart. 89 And Paradise shall be brought forward for the godfearing, 90 And Hell is brought near to the perverse' 91 They will be asked: "Where are those you worshipped 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray 94 And the hosts of Iblis, together. 95 "They will say there in their mutual bickerings: 96 "By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error 97 When we equalled you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 “And none misled us but the guilty.” 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 nor a loving friend. 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 Verily in this is a Sign but most of them do not believe. 103 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 104
