The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. THESE ARE MESSAGES of the Qur'an - a divine writ clear in itself and clearly showing the truth: 1 a guidance and glad tidings to believers, 2 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 3 Those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have decked out fair for them their works, and they wander blindly; 4 They will suffer the worst kind of torment and will be lost in the life to come. 5 And indeed, [O Muhammad], you receive the Qur'an from one Wise and Knowing. 6 When Moses said to his household: 'Indeed, I can see a fire far away. I will go and bring you news of it or I will bring you a lighted flame so that you can warm yourselves' 7 But when Moses came to the fire, a call was sounded: "Blessed is He Who is in the fire and whatever is around it. Glory be to Allah, the Sustainer of all in the Universe. 8 "O Musa (Moses)! Verily! It is I, Allah, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. 9 Throw down your staff." When he saw it wriggling like a serpent he turned his back and fled without turning (to look). "O Moses," (said the voice), "be not fearful. Surely those sent as messengers do not fear in My presence, 10 “Except the one* who does injustice and then after evil changes it for virtue – then indeed I am Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Other than the Prophets.) 11 Put your hand in the bosom of your shirt; it will come out white without any blemish. This will be one of nine tokens for the Pharaoh and his people, who are a wicked lot indeed." 12 But when Our signs came to them in all their clarity they said, "This is clearly sorcery!" 13 And they rejected them, while their [inner] selves were convinced thereof, out of injustice and haughtiness. So see how was the end of the corrupters. 14
