But as for anyone who chooses to remain blind to the remembrance of the Most Gracious, to him We assign an [enduring] evil impulse, to become his other self: 36 And lo! they surely turn them from the way of Allah, and yet they deem that they are rightly guided; 37 till, when he comes to Us, he says, 'Would there had been between me and thee the distance of the two Easts!' An evil comrade! 38 And never will it benefit you that Day, when you have wronged, that you are [all] sharing in the punishment. 39 (Muhammad), can you make the deaf hear or guide the blind or the one who is clearly in error? 40 Even if We take you away from the world, We shall surely take vengeance on them 41 or make you see the end that We had promised them, for We have full power over them. 42 So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is inspired in you. Verily, you are on a Straight Path. 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 You can ask Our Messengers whom We sent before you if We had commanded them to worship other gods besides the Beneficent God?" 45

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
