The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 By the angels hastening, 4 And those who arrange [each] matter, 5 The day the convulsive (first blast) shatters convulsively 6 What must happen afterwards shall follow it. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 “Tell him ‘Do you have the inclination to become pure?’ 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then turned he away in haste, 22 then he mustered 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 So Allah seized him in exemplary punishment for the last and the first [transgression]. 25 Indeed in that is a warning for whoever would fear [Allah]. 26
