۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two hosts came in view of each other, Moses' companions said: 'We have been reached' 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We brought near thither the others. 64 We saved Moses and all the people with him 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
