۞ Say to them, (O Prophet): “I give you but one counsel: stand up (for heaven's sake), singly and in pairs, and then think: what is it in your companion (to wit, Muhammad) that could be deemed as madness?” He is nothing but a warner, warning you before the coming of a grevious chastisement. 46 Say: 'I ask no wage of you; that shall be yours. My wage is only upon Allah and He is Witness over everything' 47 Say: Surely my Lord utters the truth, the great Knower of the unseen. 48 Say: "The truth has come, and falsehood had neither precedence nor will reappear." 49 Say, "If I go astray it will only be against my own soul, but if I receive guidance, it will be through my Lord's revelations." He is All-hearing and Omnipresent. 50 If you could only see when the unbelievers will go about in a state of terror. They will have no escape and will be seized from a place near at hand. 51 then they will say, "We now believe in Him." But how will they attain to faith, having gone so far away from it? 52 They had rejected it before, while they indulged in conjectures from far away. 53 And a barrier will be set between them and that which they desire [i.e. At-Taubah (turning to Allah in repentance) and the accepting of Faith etc.], as was done in the past with the people of their kind. Verily, they have been in grave doubt. 54
