The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And they who guard their private parts 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 Then We placed him as (a drop of) sperm in a place of rest, firmly fixed; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then verily on the Day of Judgment ye shall be raised up. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
