Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
