▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 (They) belied all Our Signs, so We seized them with a Seizure of the All-Mighty, All-Capable to carry out what he Will (Omnipotent). 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 It takes only a single command from Us (to bring the Day of Judgment) and that can be achieved within the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 and everything, great and small, is inscribed. 53 Surely those who shun disobedience will dwell amidst Gardens and running streams 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
