Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Certainly the news of the calamity that will overwhelm has come to you! 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire. 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 No food for them save bitter thorn-fruit 6 Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 They shall be in a Garden lofty: 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 Therein will be Thrones (of dignity), raised on high, 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions set in rows, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 Do they not then ponder how the clouds were formed; 17 And how the heaven was raised up, 18 And at the mountains - how they are erected? 19 And at the earth, how it is outspread? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then indeed, upon Us is their account. 26
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
