We did not create heaven and earth and all that is between them in vain. That is the opinion of those who deny the truth. Woe betide those who deny the truth, when they are cast into the Fire -- 27 Should We equate those who do the right with those who spread corruption in the land? Should We make those who are morally integrated equal to those who seek disintegration? 28 [All this have We expounded in this] blessed divine writ which We have revealed unto thee, [O Muhammad,] so that men may ponder over its messages, and that those who are endowed with insight may take them to heart. 29 And to David We gave Solomon. An excellent servant, indeed he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 30 When in the evening were presented to him the standing steeds, 31 And he said, "Truly do I love the love of good, with a view to the glory of my Lord,"- until (the sun) was hidden in the veil (of night): 32 He said, "Bring them back to me." Then he started to rub their legs and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 Saying: "O Lord, forgive me, and give me such a dominion as none will merit after me. You are the great bestower." 35 So We subjected to him the wind, that ran at his commandment, softly, wherever he might light on, 36 as well as all the rebellious forces [that We made to work for him] - every kind of builder and diver 37 And others fettered in chains. 38 'This is Our gift; bestow or withhold without reckoning.' 39 And most surely he had a nearness to Us and an excellent resort. 40
