Noah said: “My Lord, they did not pay heed to what I said, and followed those (nobles) whose possession of wealth and children has led them to an even greater loss. 21 "And they have plotted a mighty plot. 22 "And they have said (to each other), 'Abandon not your gods: Abandon neither Wadd nor Suwa', neither Yaguth nor Ya'uq, nor Nasr';- 23 They have misled many and the unjust will achieve nothing but more error". 24 Because of their sins they were drowned and then put into the fire; so they did not find any supporter for themselves against Allah. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 25 And prayed Nooh, “O my Lord! Do not leave any of the disbelievers dwelling in the land.” 26 Surely, if You leave them they will mislead Your worshipers and father none but the immoral, and unbelievers. 27 "O my Sustainer! Grant Thy forgiveness unto me and unto my parents, and unto everyone who enters my house as a believer, and unto all believing men and believing women [of later times]; and grant Thou that the doers of evil shall increasingly meet with destruction!" 28
