The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
36 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Spider (Al-Ankaboot) before The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WOE TO THOSE who give short measure, 1 Who, when they take a measure from people, take in full. 2 but when they give by measurement or weight to others, they give them less. 3 Do they not know that they are bound to be raised from the dead 4 For a mighty day, 5 The Day when (all) mankind will stand before the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)? 6 Indeed, the record of the disbelievers is in the lowest place, the Sijjeen. 7 What could let you know what the Sijjeen is! 8 A book inscribed. 9 Ah the woe that day for those who deny, 10 Those that deny the Day of Judgment. 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore. 13 By no means! but on their hearts is the stain of the (ill) which they do! 14 Indeed! On that Day a barrier will be set between them and their Lord, 15 then they shall enter the Fire of Hell, 16 and they will be told, "This is what you were wont to belie." 17 No! Indeed, the record of the righteous is in 'illiyyun. 18 And what could make thee conceive what that mode most lofty will be? 19 (It is) a marked Book, 20 Witnessed by those who are honoured. 21 Lo! the righteous verily are in delight, 22 On thrones, watching. 23 You will recognise in their faces the brightness of delight. 24 They will be given a drink of pure wine whereon the seal [of God] will have been set, 25 The last of it is musk. So for this let the competitors compete. 26 With the wine is a drink from Tasnim, 27 a spring, the nearest ones to God will drink from it. 28 Lo! the guilty used to laugh at those who believed, 29 And whenever they passed by them, used to wink one to another (in mockery); 30 and when they returned to their own people, they would speak of them jestingly; 31 And when they saw them, they said: "Verily! These have indeed gone astray!" 32 No one has appointed them to watch over the believers. 33 Wherefore Today, those who believed at the infidels are laughing, 34 On thrones, they will look. 35 Have the unbelievers been rewarded what they were doing? 36
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
