The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the midmorning, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 but proclaim the blessings of your Lord. 11
