Blessed is He Who made constellations in the skies, and placed therein a Lamp and a Moon giving light; 61 It is He who has made the night and day follow each other for those whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful. 62 And the bondmen of the Compassionate are those who walk upon the earth meekly and when the ignorants address them, they say peace 63 And who spend the night prostrating and standing, for their Lord. 64 and who pray: "O our Sustainer, avert from us the suffering of hell - for, verily, the suffering caused by it is bound to be a torment dire: 65 Indeed it is a most wretched abode. 66 And they who when they spend, are neither extravagant nor parsimonious, and (keep) between these the just mean. 67 who do not invoke any god but Allah nor kill a soul, which Allah has forbidden, unjustly, nor commit adultery. -He who does this shall be punished for his sin, 68 and his torment shall be doubled on the Day of Resurrection, and he shall abide in a state of ignominy, 69 Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed; so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 70 And whosoever repenteth and worketh righteously, then verily he repenteth toward Allah with a true repentance. 71 And those who bear not false witness and, when they pass by idle talk, pass by with dignity; 72 who, when they are reminded of the signs of their Lord, fall not down thereat deaf and blind; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 They will be rewarded the highest position in heaven, the recompense of their patience, and they will be welcomed with honour and greetings of peace. 75 Abiding eternally therein. Good is the settlement and residence. 76 Say: 'My Lord esteems you not at all were it not for your prayer, for you have cried lies, and it shall surely be fastened.' 77
