T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta. Ha. 1 We did not reveal the Qur'an to you to cause you distress; 2 it is only a reminder for him who fears Allah; 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 all that is in the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and all that is underneath the soil. 6 And if you (O Muhammad SAW) speak (the invocation) aloud, then verily, He knows the secret and that which is yet more hidden. 7 Allah-- there is no god but He; His are the very best names. 8 AND HAS the story of Moses ever come within thy ken? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, 11 Surely I am your Lord, therefore put off your shoes; surely you are in the sacred valley, Tuwa, 12 I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed to you. 13 Surely I am Allah, there is no god but I, therefore serve Me and keep up prayer for My remembrance: 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 Let none bar thee from it, that believes not in it but follows after his own caprice, or thou wilt perish. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He replied, "It is my staff. I lean on it, bring down leaves for my sheep with it and I need it for other reasons. 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 "Catch it," said He, "and have no fear; We shall revert it to its former state. 21 Now clasp thy hand to thy arm-pit; it shall come forth white, without evil. That is a second sign. 22 This We have done to show you some of Our greater miracles. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
