The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THAT which must come to pass [at last] comes to pass, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 (a calamitous Event) that shall turn things upside down: 3 When the earth shall be shaken with a (severe) shaking, 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 and will scatter abroad into fine dust. 6 And you shall be three sorts. 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets, jugs and cups of crystal clear wine 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 And fruits such as they choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And companions with big beautiful eyes 22 Like unto hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 only the saying 'Peace, Peace!' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And shade extended 30 and flowing water 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 And raised couches. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Lovers, friends, 37 for the Companions of the Right 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
