Vanity (Al-Zukhruf)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Ha. Mim. 1 By oath of the clear Qur’an. 2 Verily We! We have made it an Arabic Qur'an that haply ye may reflect. 3 It is inscribed in the original Book (of Books) with Us, sublime, dispenser of (all) laws. 4 Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Quran) from you, because you are a people Musrifun 5 And how many a prophet We sent among the ancients. 6 And there came not to them a prophet but they mocked at him. 7 Then We destroyed those who were stronger than these in prowess, and the case of the ancients has gone before, 8 Yet if you were to ask them: “Who created the heavens and the earth?” they will certainly say: “The All-Mighty, the All-Knowing has created them.” 9 Who made the earth a resting-place for you, and placed roads for you therein, that haply ye may find your way; 10 And Who sendeth down from the heaven water in measure; then We quicken a dead land therewith: even so ye shall be brought forth. 11 it is He who created all living things in pairs and gave you ships to sail in and beasts to ride upon 12 So that when you sit astride of them and think of the bounties of your Lord, you may say: "All glory to Him who subjugated these for us. We were incapable of doing so. 13 And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return! 14 But they have attributed to Him from His servants a portion. Indeed, man is clearly ungrateful. 15
