In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Alif, Lam, Meem, Sad. 1 [This is] a Book revealed to you, [O Muhammad] - so let there not be in your breast distress therefrom - that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers. 2 [Say (O Muhammad SAW) to these idolaters (pagan Arabs) of your folk:] Follow what has been sent down unto you from your Lord (the Quran and Prophet Muhammad's Sunnah), and follow not any Auliya' (protectors and helpers, etc. who order you to associate partners in worship with Allah), besides Him (Allah). Little do you remember! 3 How many a township We have destroyed! Our scourge fell upon them at night, or when they were taking midday rest. 4 And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!" 5 We will question those to whom Our Message was sent, as We shall question the Messengers. 6 Then We shall narrate to them with knowledge the whole account. For surely, We were not away from them. 7 Truth alone will be of weight that Day. Those whose scales are heavy shall be successful, 8 As for those whose bad deeds weigh heavier, they will lose their souls for their injustice to Our revelations. 9 And certainly We have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
