Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated, 2 toiling [under burdens of sin,] worn out [by fear,] 3 roasting at a scorching Fire 4 their drink shall be from a boiling spring. 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 which neither sustains, nor satisfy hunger. 7 (Whereas other) faces on that Day will be joyful, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 In an elevated garden, 10 Never hearing idle talk. 11 Therein will be a flowing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 And cups set at hand. 14 And cushions set in a row, 15 And carpets spread around. 16 What, do they not reflect upon how the camel was created? 17 And at the sky - how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse? 20 Therefore advise; indeed you are a proclaimer of advice. (The Holy Prophet is a Remembrance from Allah.) 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 As for those who turn their back and disbelieve, 23 Allah will chastise him with the most terrible chastisement. 24 for behold, unto Us will be their return, 25 In Our hands are their accounts. 26
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
