1/2 Hizb 45
< random >
۞ Gather together those who did wrong and their comrades and that which they were wont to worship 22 "Besides Allah, and lead them to the Way to the (Fierce) Fire! 23 And halt them, to be questioned: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and approach each other with questions, 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 “And we did not have any control over you; but in fact you yourselves were rebellious.” 30 “So the Word of our Lord has proved true upon us; we will surely have to taste (the punishment).” 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 On that Day they will all share the punishment: 33 Verily that is how We shall deal with Sinners. 34 Indeed, when it was said to them, “There is no God except Allah”, they were haughty. 35 And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?" 36 (They say so although) he brought the Truth and confirmed the veracity of the Messengers. 37 (They will be told): “You shall taste the grievous chastisement. 38 although you shall not be requited for aught but what you were wont to do. 39 But for the sincere worshipers of Allah, 40 For them there is a known provision, 41 Fruits of every kind, and they will be honoured 42 In Gardens of Delight. 43 (Sitting) on couches, face to face, 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 clear, delightful to those who drink it: 46 There will neither be any harm in it for their body nor will it intoxicate their mind. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 as if they were hidden pearls. 49 Then shall some of them advance to others, questioning each other. 50 A speaker of them will say: "Verily, I had a companion (in the world), 51 Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 (The man) said: "Will you look down?" 54 and then he looks and sees that [companion of his] in the midst of the blazing fire, 55 He says, 'By God, wellnigh thou didst destroy me; 56 If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell]. 57 Are we then not to die 58 Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?" 59 Verily this is the supreme achievement! 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers. 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 Its crop is as it were the heads of devils 65 on it they shall feed, and with it they shall fill their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 then their return is to Hell. 68 They had indeed found their forefathers astray. 69 So in their footsteps they are being hastened on. 70 yet before them most of the ancients went astray, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
