The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 when their brother Lot said unto them: "Will you not be conscious of God? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 "So fear Allah and obey me. 163 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage is only with the Lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 instead of your wives, whom your Lord has created specially for you? You are a transgressing people." 166 They said, 'If thou givest not over, Lot, thou shalt assuredly be one of the expelled.' 167 He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it]. 168 My Lord, save me and my family from their evil doings." 169 We saved him and all of his family 170 Except one old woman who remained behind. 171 Thereafter We annihilated the rest. 172 And We rained down upon them a rain, and evil was the rain on those warned. 173 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 174 And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 175

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
