Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Do their minds command them to do this, or are they an outrageous folk? 32 Do they say: 'He has invented it' No, they do not believe. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or are thy Lord's treasuries in their keeping? Or are they the registrars? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He daughters while you have sons? 39 Or is it that thou dost ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 And if they should see a portion of the heaven coming down, they would say: Piled up clouds. 44 so leave them alone till they face the Day on which they will be struck dumb, 45 the Day when none of their scheming will be of the least avail to them, and they will receive no succour. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 Await the judgement of your Lord, for you are always before Our eyes, and glorify your Lord with praises when you rise, 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
