Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 Who created thee, then moulded thee, then proportioned thee? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 And indeed, the wicked will be in Hellfire. 14 They will burn in it on the Day of Judgement, 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
