We certainly gave the Book to Moses, but differences arose about it: had it not been that a word had gone forth before from your Lord, Judgement would indeed have been passed on them then and there: yet they are in grave doubt about it. 110 And, of a surety, to all will your Lord pay back (in full the recompense) of their deeds: for He knoweth well all that they do. 111 Therefore remain firm the way you are commanded to, and those who have turned along with you, and O people – do not rebel; indeed He is seeing your deeds. 112 And do not incline to those who are unjust, lest the fire touch you, and you have no guardians besides Allah, then you shall not be helped. 113 And be constant in praying at the beginning and the end of the day, as well as during the early watches of the night: for, verily, good deeds drive away evil deeds: this is a reminder to all who bear [God] in mind. 114 And be steadfast in patience; for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish. 115 Why were there not of the generations before you owners of wisdom restraining others from corruption on the earth, except a few of those whom We delivered from amongst them! And those who did wrong followed that in which they luxuriated, and they had been sinners. 116 Nor would thy Lord be the One to destroy communities for a single wrong-doing, if its members were likely to mend. 117 And if your Lord had pleased He would certainly have made people a single nation, and they shall continue to differ. 118 Except those on whom thy Lord hath bestowed His Mercy: and for this did He create them: and the Word of thy Lord shall be fulfilled: "I will fill Hell with jinns and men all together." 119 AND [remember:] out of all the accounts relating to the [earlier] apostles We convey unto thee [only] that wherewith We [aim to] make firm thy heart: for through these [accounts] comes the truth unto thee, as well as an admonition and a reminder unto all believers. 120 Say to those who do not believe: "Do what ever ye can: We shall do our part; 121 And wait (for what is to come), we are also waiting (to see)." 122 To God belong the secrets of the heavens and the earth, and all things will go back to Him. So worship Him and put your trust in Him; your Lord is not heedless of what you do. 123
