Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Did We not expand thy breast for thee 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 that had well-nigh broken your back? 3 And [have We not] raised thee high in dignity? 4 But lo! with hardship goeth ease, 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 Hence, when thou art freed [from distress,] remain steadfast, 7 And to your Lord direct [your] longing. 8
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
