We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their desolate habitations in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
