And He it is Who made for you the ears and the eyes and the hearts; little is it that you give thanks. 78 And it is He Who has created you on the earth, and to Him you shall be gathered back. 79 It is He who gives you life and death, and His the alternation of night and day. Even then you do not understand, 80 Rather, they say like what the former peoples said. 81 They said: "When we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we be resurrected indeed? 82 We were promised such things and so were our forefathers before us. All these are no more than tales of the past." 83 Say: "If you have knowledge, 'to whom belongs the earth' and, 'whoever is in it? '" 84 They will surely say: "Allah's." Say: "Then why do you not take heed?" 85 Say: Who is Lord of the seven heavens, and Lord of the Tremendous Throne? 86 They will say, 'God's.' Say: 'Will you not then be godfearing?' 87 Say: 'In whose Hands is the Kingdom of all things, He protects, and none protects against Him, if you have knowledge' 88 They will say: "(All that belongs) to Allah." Say: "How then are you deceived and turn away from the truth?" 89 We have sent them the Truth: but they indeed practise falsehood! 90 No son (or offspring or children) did Allah beget, nor is there any ilah (god) along with Him; (if there had been many gods), behold, each god would have taken away what he had created, and some would have tried to overcome others! Glorified be Allah above all that they attribute to Him! 91 knowing all that is beyond the reach of a created being's perception as well as all that can be witnessed by a creature's senses or mind and hence, sublimely exalted is He above anything to which they may ascribe a share in His divinity! 92
