Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Travailing, worn. 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 given to drink from a boiling spring. 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 that will neither nourish nor satisfy their hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 well-pleased with [the fruit of] their striving, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 Wherein is a gushing spring, 12 therein uplifted couches 13 and goblets placed ready, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and well spread carpets. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 And at the sky, how it is raised aloft? 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 God will punish them with the greatest torment. 24 Verily, to Us will be their return; 25 Then indeed only upon Us is their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
